Recasens uses only German produced DOLAN fiber in the production of all its high performance fabrics.

In 2006, Recasens began a partnership with internationally renowned and innovative fiber supplier Dolan GmbH of Germany.

DOLAN is a high quality branded acrylic fiber which has been successfully utilized in various outdoor applications for more than 25 years. DOLAN is produced via a special wet spinning process in which pigments are injected to the polymer solution before extruding it into fiber. This special manufacturing process produces a fiber with unique properties. DOLAN has excellent color and weather-fastness and is very well suited for the production of outdoor fabrics such as awnings, boat covers, sun umbrellas, outdoor cushions and its most demanding application, fabrics for convertible car tops.

As a spun-dyed acrylic fiber, Dolan is primarily known for its excellent light and weather fastness. Additionally, products made from Dolan are highly durable and require minimal care.
